On the occasion of national statistics day on 29th June2015,Department in association with NSSO has organized a guest lecture on”Statistics in social sector and social welfare” by Dr.K.Chandan, Professor, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur.

On the occasion of national statistics day on 29th June2015,National sample survey office conducted elocution,quiz and essay writing competitions on the topic “Statistics in social sector”for students in which the following students were participated.

On that day K.Chinmayee of III B.Sc (MSCs) won 1st place and T.Indu Priya of IIIBA (HEP) won 3rd place in elocution.

T.Indu Priya of III BA(HEP) won 3rd prize in essay writing.
Staff activities:
Mrs. Parveen syed has attended a national seminar held in St.Anns Degree college for women, Hyderabad on 21st of August on the topic “ Recent Population trends and tendencies”.
Mrs. Saraja has attended a national conference on “ The role of Statistical inference and it’s applications in recent research analysis” conducted in Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha swamy Degree & PG college (Autonomous),Ujire, Karnataka on 30th and 31st Oct’15.
Mrs. Saraja attended as a Board of Studies member of Statistics Department for CH.SD.ST. THERESA’S DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Eluru, NOBLE COLLEGE ,Machilipatnam ,SDMS MAHILA KALASALA, Vijayawada and PB Siddhrtha college of arts and sciences, Vijayawada for the acdemic year 2015-’16.
