Student activities:
On the occasion of national statistics day on
29th June2014,National sample survey office conducted
elocution,quiz and essay writing competitions on the topic “Administrative
Statistics ”for students in which 12 of our final year and second year
students were participated and P. Vasavi of final MSCs secured second prize in
Elocution.
On 01st Febraury Loyola college has conducted a state level intercollegiate competition for Statistics students in which 19 of our 2nd year and final year students participated. out of them P. Vasavi of III B.Sc (MSCs) got first prize in PPt. D.Sai lakshmi and group stood in 3rd place in quiz. LVS. Madhavi of III MSCs got second place in JAM.

won the third place in Quiz.
On the occasion of national statistics day on
29th June2016, Department has organized a guest
Lecture on ”Statistics in Agriculture and
it’s allied fields” by Dr.Venkateswara Rao , Professor, HOD,
Department of Statistics, Agricultural
university, Bapatla.
A guest lecture was arranged to the students of our college and also outsiders on the topic “BIG
DATA ANALYSIS-IT’S OPPURTUNITIES IN PRESENT
BUSINESS WORLD” by the department. The
resource person was Dr. Y. Mohan
Kumar, Lead Data Scientist, Verizon Company, Hyderabad. He
explained about the wide opportunities to
Statistics learners in analyzing the data in business and
marketing field very explicitly on 21st Jan

Palakaluru,Guntur(Dt.) has conducted an inter collegiate Statistics meet on 27th August’14
in their college. On this occasion various competitions were conducted. The

social sector and social welfare” by Dr.K.Chandan , Professor,
Acharya Nagarjuna University,
